What Merge PDF does

Merging a PDF means joining 2 or more PDF files into a single document, in the order you choose. Wispdf does this inside your web browser, so nothing is uploaded. You can reorder whole files or single pages before you merge, keep or drop the original bookmarks, and add as many files as you need. It is free and needs no account.

People use it to

Questions about Merge PDF

Is Merge PDF really free?
Yes. Merge PDF is free and unlimited, and no account is needed. There is no daily cap and no limit on how many files you add. Because it runs on your device, the practical limit is memory: comfortably around 1 GB of PDFs on a computer, and less on a phone.
Are my files uploaded when I merge PDFs?
No. Merge PDF runs entirely in your browser, on your own device. Your files are never sent to our servers, so we never see them and there is nothing to delete afterwards. That makes it a good fit for documents you've been asked to keep private, such as client files, medical records or ID scans.
How do I change the page order before merging?
Add your files to Merge PDF, then drag them into the order you want. To move a single page, open that file and drag the page to its new spot. The pages are joined in the order you see on screen, so check it once more, then press Merge PDFs and download the result.
Will merging lower the quality of my PDFs?
No. Merge PDF joins your pages as they are. It doesn't turn them into images or compress them, so text that was searchable stays searchable and photos keep their original resolution. If the merged file ends up too big to email, run it through Compress PDF afterwards to make it lighter.
Can I merge PDFs on my iPhone or Android phone?
Yes. Merge PDF works in any modern browser on iPhone, iPad, Android, Windows, Mac, Linux and Chromebook, with no app to install. Open the page, choose your files from your phone's storage, and merge. Phones have less memory than computers, so very large batches are easier on a laptop or desktop.
Can I merge a password-protected PDF?
Not while it's locked. Merge PDF needs to read the pages, so a PDF that asks for a password has to be unlocked first. If you know the password, remove it with Unlock PDF, which also runs on your device, then come back and merge. Wispdf never guesses or cracks passwords.
