Questions about PDF Reader

Is the Wispdf PDF Reader free?
Yes. PDF Reader is free and unlimited, and you do not need an account. Open as many files as you like, as often as you like. Because the file is read on your device, the only practical limit is memory, which is comfortably around 1 GB of PDFs on a computer and less on a phone or tablet.
Does PDF Reader upload my file?
No. PDF Reader opens your file inside your browser, on your own device. It is never sent to our servers, so there is nothing for us to store or delete. That makes it a good fit for documents you would rather keep to yourself, such as medical letters, contracts or anything from work.
Why can't I search the text in my scanned PDF?
A scanned PDF is usually a set of pictures of pages, so there is no real text for PDF Reader to search. Run the file through OCR PDF first. It recognizes the words on each page and gives you a PDF you can search and copy from. Then open it in PDF Reader again and search will work.
What is the outline in PDF Reader?
The outline is a list of a document's sections, a bit like a table of contents, that some PDFs include. When your file has one, PDF Reader shows it so you can jump straight to a chapter or heading. If the PDF was made without an outline, use the page thumbnails or search to get around instead.
Can I use PDF Reader on a Chromebook, iPhone or Android phone?
Yes. PDF Reader works in any modern browser on Chromebook, iPhone, iPad, Android, Windows, Mac and Linux. You do not need to install an app or a plugin. That makes it handy on school or work computers where you cannot install software, since everything runs in the browser you already have.
Can I highlight or edit a PDF while I read it?
PDF Reader is for reading, searching and zooming. To highlight, underline or add comments, open the file in Annotate PDF. To add text, images or links, use Edit PDF. Both are free and run on your device too, so your file stays in your browser the whole time.
